Foundations of Embedded Professional Development

The Foundations of Embedded Professional Development training introduces embedded professional development approaches that more-effectively promote continuous professional learning and practice. Participants define embedded professional development; learn to contrast the mindset, methods and practices of traditional professional development with embedded professional development; and examine the need for collaborative job-embedded professional development. The learner describes major elements of the job-embedded approach to professional development and describes the key ingredients of design and implementation of embedded professional development and leadership’s role in driving ongoing, continuous professional learning.
