On July 12, families, staff, and community partners gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of the 2025 Maine State Parent Ambassador graduates—and to mark a major milestone: the 10th anniversary of the Maine State Parent Ambassador Program. This event honored a decade of empowering parents as leaders, advocates, and changemakers in their communities.
Held at Educare Central Maine, the graduation recognized each ambassador’s journey and growth, celebrating their commitment to strengthening family voices and engagement in early childhood systems. Highlights included heartfelt speeches from the Educare Central Maine School Director, parent graduates, reflections from staff and alumni, and the awarding of certificates to this year’s graduates.
A particularly exciting announcement was made by Dr. Pamela Thompson, Director, Graduate Online Education, who unveiled that Parent Ambassadors will receive a credential through Saint Joseph’s College of Maine starting this year — a significant recognition of the leadership, advocacy, and training they’ve completed through the program.
As we celebrated both this year’s graduates and 10 years of impact, the event served as a powerful reminder of what’s possible when families are seen, heard, and supported to lead.
